2018 Wildland Fire Academy

The 2018 Wildland Fire Academy is hosted by Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue and supported by the Central Oregon Fire Instructors Association.

This academy includes the following NWCG courses and activities:

  • L-180 Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service
  • S-130 Firefighter Training
  • S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior
  • Hands-on live fire evolutions

Students must bring full wildland personal protective equipment. This includes, at a minimum: Nomex fire shirt and pants, boots, gloves, helmet with eye protection and shroud, and pack with wildland fire shelter. Students will not be allowed to participate in live fire evolutions if they do not have the minimum personal protective equipment.

Cost for the entire academy is $75. This includes all class materials and lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The maximum number of students is 24.
