With the unexpected snowfall and cooler weather, Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue, in coordination with the Crooked River Ranch Lions Club, will be performing live fire training at the limb dump off Sandridge Road on Saturday, February 26th. The training will begin between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. The majority of the live fire activity will be done by noon.
This training event will allow our volunteers and staff to practice using firing devices used in wildland fire response. This training also helps dispose of the limbs and brush collected from homeowners who have cleared hazardous fuels on their property. There will be some smoke throughout the afternoon and overnight. Crews will check on the area periodically once the training is completed. We appreciate the community's patience and support while we get this training accomplished.
