Outdoor Debris Burning to Open Friday, October 15th

May contain: fire, flame, and bonfire

With cooler and wetter weather lowering the fire danger, Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue will open outdoor debris burning on Friday, October 15th. Before performing any burning there are two steps that need to be taken.

  1. Review and have a copy of the District's Burn Regulations and Safe Debris Burning Pamphlet on-site.
  2. Call the Burn Information Line, (541) 923-4633, to find out about any restrictions in place for the day.

Burning restrictions are common during the beginning and end of the season. Examples include only allowing debris burning between sunrise and a certain time or a closure for weather that could adversely affect a fire.

The District reminds everyone to follow the burn regulations and remember that you are responsible for any damage caused by a fire you start. If your fire becomes out of control call 9-1-1 immediately. If you have any questions please check out http://www.crrfire.org/outdoor-burning-requirements or call the Fire Station at (541) 923-6776.
